BLemonTea I started listening to Daniel Pimentel about a year ago. I thought at first that his page was just going to be one of those "Golden One Offs" that you see pop up every now and again. Now though I am happy to say that Daniel Pimentel has blessed the world with another golden record. Winter Moon (both the song and the album) reach to me on a deep emotional level. If I didn't have the character limit I could write a book about how much I love his music. For now all I will say is buy it, BUY IT NOW! Favorite track: The Great & The Terrible.

Winter Moon 05:43
wait outside the window of my bedroom and over the rolling hills we can run away under the starry sky we will lose ourselves we'll find the winter moon and it will light our way there is nothing I can do to escape from you

I made my home along the road there in the shadow of the Holy Ghost where it smells like fire and it looks like rain so thick I dare not speak His name and I'll be on my way I can feel a storm is coming in I can feel it creeping in my skin Christ is coming soon they say and every knee will touch the ground on that great and terrible day weep no more live forever

my baby don't treat me right no more ever since that cold September day in '74 my baby don't treat me right no more she keeps that diamond ring in her sweater drawer her face in neon her name in stone my baby don't treat me right no more I bought her roses and she changed the locks on the door my baby don't treat me right no more she threw my suitcase and my records on the floor her face in neon her name in stone I told her I'd change my ways and make amends but she won't accept my humble recompense and I love her or maybe not hell I don't know but I am not about to let my baby go my baby don't treat me right no more she's loading six shots in that magnum .44 my baby don't treat me right no more a horde of hungry vultures are hanging over my corpse my baby don't treat me right no more but I swore I wouldn't do her wrong no more

about

Daniel Pimentel Salt Lake City, Utah

Daniel Pimentel combines the timeless storytelling of American folk with the sonic bite of indie rock. His strength lies in instinctively honest poeticism; deployed by hauntingly desperate vocals over a tasteful waltz of dynamic instrumentals.
